From the Pointe du Grouin, Saint-Malo and Dinan are two great getaways to experience during your stay. For travellers looking for a hotel near Saint-Malo, our address in Cancale offers easy access to the corsair city, seafront, medieval streets and banks of the Rance.

Intra-Muros and ramparts

Start with Saint-Malo Intra-Muros and then walk all the way around the ramparts to get your bearings. It's about an hour's walk, with superb views of the sea, the old town, the beaches and the mouth of the River Rance. It's the best introduction to the corsair town.

The Sillon walk

After the ramparts, extend your visit to the Sillon beach and its causeway lined with seaside villas. This long seafront promenade reveals a different side of Saint-Malo, more open, more maritime, ideal for walking, breathing and enjoying the light of the Emerald Coast.

Privateer history

Saint-Malo can also be visited through its corsair identity, omnipresent in the narrow streets, basins and ramparts. Jacques Cartier, Robert Surcouf and Chateaubriand are just some of the great figures associated with the town, which has preserved a strong maritime heritage and offers many guided tours to help you understand it better.

Dinan historic centre

Although our hotel is close to Saint-Malo, it's not far from Dinan either. Here you can take time to stroll through the historic centre, with its timber-framed houses, ancient squares and sloping streets. The town, which has been awarded the "Ville d'art et d'histoire" (Town of Art and History) label, is easy to explore on foot, and the tourist office offers a number of circuits to help you spot the must-sees.

Port and banks of the Rance

From the centre of Dinan, head down to the port for a change of atmosphere. The quays, the Rance valley and the possibilities for walking, cycling or boating give the visit a more peaceful pace. It's a great way to round off your visit to the medieval town centre.
